Crystalline silica particles found in building materials like sand, gravel, granite, sandstone, clay, concrete and more can pose health hazards to employees. When the particles are small enough to inhale, they might enter the lungs and cause severe health conditions. To protect those working with silica materials, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has set safety regulations.
This training course covers OSHA regulations for silica exposure to help employers and employees maintain workplace safety. Hazmat School offers affordable online training for companies and individuals to ensure safe operations when performing jobs with hazardous materials. In this course, you will learn the risks of silica dust inhalation, measures to prevent exposure and how to respond if an exposure happens.
