Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) specifically governs hazardous waste management and sets strict standards to protect human health and the environment. These regulations can be found in Title 22 CCR 66262.16 and Title 22 CCR 66262.17.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Students will have to go through all modules in order to unlock the final exam at the end of the course. You will need internet access and an email account. Not all employees are required to have their own personal email just any email that we can put on the account. The course will take approximately 8 hours to complete but you can come and go as you need and can take the course at your own pace. There is no set schedule that you will need to attend.

GRADING POLICY

Passing this course requires completing the multiple choice or true/false exam with a grade of 75% or better. If you do not receive a grade of at least 75% on the final quiz, you may retake the quiz up to a total of three (3) times.

COURSE SCHEDULE AND DEADLINES

The course is designed to be self-paced. You will have 30 days to complete it and can come and go as you need. After one month, you will need to re-enroll. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a pdf certificate right away.

Accreditation, Certification and CEUs

When you successfully complete this course, you will immediately receive your CA hazardous waste generator certification. This documents your training and serves as proof for federal or state regulators if requested. When completed as part of continuing education, this course will count as 0.8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or eight contact hours.

California’s hazardous waste training requirements differ from federal standards. If you are a generator in a different state, you will need to take our federal waste RCRA #1391 course instead to meet your specific requirements.
