Our Remote Instructors™ are available 7 days a week online throughout your course to answer your questions.  Email us at any time (most replies are same-day).  As you progress through your online training you will be provided with valuable feedback.  All material is written and developed by our safety professionals at Safety Compliance Management, who have ensured the course curriculum meet OSHA, DOT and EPA training requirements.

Kirstie Chisholm

She has been with the company since March 2014.  She is currently designing the new online training courses and working towards becoming a Certified Safety Professional. Before working at SCM Safety, Kirstie has worked as a Customer Service Representative in private aviation as well as Visual Merchandising, giving her the opportunities and skills needed to interact with a variety of clients. Away from the office, Kirstie enjoys spending valuable time with her family and traveling.



Ron Gantt

Screen Shot 2016-02-04 at 9.56.08 AMRon is the lead Remote Instructor™ for our online courses, interacting with thousands of students around the country. He has in depth knowledge and experience in a complete range of topics, including hazardous materials/wastes, safety management systems, system safety, human factors, emergency response, confined space entry, and other OSHA, DOT, and EPA compliance. Ron is Vice President of Safety Compliance Management where he works with a variety of clients in a variety of industries achieve their health and safety goals. You’ll ramp up fast with Ron’s quick paced approach to training, program development and implementation.

Ron holds undergraduate degrees in Occupational Safety and Health and Psychology and is pursuing a Master of Engineering degree in Advanced Safety Engineering and Management. He is a Board Certified Safety Professional, a Board Certified Environmental, Safety, and Health Trainer, and an Associate in Risk Management. He is a certified Incident Commander and  licensed Emergency Medical Technician. He is a regular speaker at national and regional conferences and a frequent author and co-author of articles on a variety of occupational safety and health and emergency management topics.

Ron and his wife enjoy spending time with their dogs and his family.


Paul Gantt

Screen Shot 2016-02-04 at 9.55.51 AMPaul is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Board Certified Environmental, Safety, and Health Trainer with a broad background as a regulator and in private practice encompassing over 30 years. His experience encompasses occupational and construction safety, hazardous materials operations, emergency management, and regulatory compliance. He has an extensive knowledge of Federal OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations, multi-employer job sites, and Building and Fire Codes with application to a range of areas and operations including construction, manufacturing, refinery, chemical, high-tech, bio-tech and emergency response.

Paul’s career includes 15 years in the fire service where he held a variety of positions from firefighter to fire chief. He holds certification through the State of California Office of the State Fire Marshal, Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the University of California to provide training programs in hazardous materials handling and response, emergency preparedness and response, occupational health and safety, and regulatory compliance.

In addition to the CSP designation, Paul has an Associate’s degree in Fire Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, and certifications as a Fire Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, Public Education Officer, Radiological Officer, Fire Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician and Specialist, Paramedic, and lifetime teaching credentials in several disciplines.

Paul is the driving force behind Safety Compliance Management’s classroom, onsite and online training curriculum. He is also the author of the industry standard textbook (recently updated with new Instructor Guide) Hazardous Materials: Regulations, Response, and Site Operations which covers all aspects of chemical handling and response, which is in its second edition. A speaker in demand at the national level, Paul is also an expert witness in several disciplines.

Paul enjoys spending time with his friends and family, which includes his wife, children, grandchildren and one spoiled English Bulldog.
