The ABAG Training Center and the Association
of Bay Area Governments support professional development and active
involvement in professional associations. This not only develops
our knowledge and skills, but also helps ensure that our communities
are receiving the highest quality professional services. We encourage
you to visit and participate in the following associations:
- American
Industrial Hygiene Association is an organization of more
than 13,000 professional members dedicated to the control of environmental
factors arising in the workplace that may result in injury, illness,
or affect the well-being of workers and members of the community.
- California
CUPA Forum provides a single statewide organization that will
consolidate Unified Program implementation efforts and represent
all CUPAs with a single voice.

California Hazardous Materials Investigators Association
(CHMIA) was established for the purposes of: encouraging
the cooperation and coordination of environmental crime
investigations conducted by enforcement and administrative
agencies; facilitating and promoting educational programs
in all aspects of environmental crime investigations. |
- Environmental
Assessment Association is an international
organization dedicated to providing its members with information
and education in the Real Estate Industry in respect to Environmental
Inspections, Testing, and Hazardous Material Removal.
