DOT's New Security Awareness Requirement

A DOT hazmat transportation security module has been added to all of our DOT courses to meet the new HM-232 regulations (in effect since March 2003) for security awareness training. Every employee who is required to have DOT hazmat training must complete security awareness training as part of their next DOT course or refresher. This new module covers the basics of risks to hazardous materials transportation security, methods designed to improve hazmat transportation security, and how to respond to security threats. In August this module will be made available as a stand alone course for those who have previously received their DOT hazmat employee training and want to satisfy the new regulations.
