Online Hazmat School is a program of the ABAG Training Center, a joint effort of the Association of Bay Area Governments and ABAG, Inc. The Association is a joint powers government organization of 101 cities and nine counties in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We have served over 28,740 students and attendees of the ABAG Training Center since 1979.

Online Hazmat School provides online hazardous waste, hazardous materials and safety training to fully comply with OSHA and DOT requirements. We provide official OSHA and DOT certificates and continuing education units, CEU's.

Our Instructors

Our courses have been developed by Paul Gantt, President, Safety Compliance Management, who along with his team of instructors provides training programs around the country to major corporations as well as the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Take advantage of our Remote Instructor™ concept and learn important lessons that will help to make you safer in your job. Using this unique feature helps to satisfy the requirements of OSHA for online or e-learning programs. ABAG, Inc. was created by the Association of Bay Area Governments to lessen the burdens of government and improve government efficiency by educating government officials, employees and the public on government regulations and programs, and by improving intergovernmental communication and citizen access, through informational publications, training, conferences, expositions, computer networks, and telecommunications.

The ABAG Training Center was formed to help meet this challenge, by providing continuing technical education. As the technical skill level requirements of government and private sector employees converge the ABAG Training Center is there to provide the education. ABAG, Inc. caters to the needs of the working professional, emphasizing practical application and providing hands-on training programs that give you and your staff the skills needed to get the job done efficiently and competitively.

The ABAG Training Center has been providing courses since 1979 and hazardous materials training since 1984 starting with our first HAZMACON Exposition. The Online Hazmat School was created in 1999 to provide online hazardous waste and hazardous materials training to fully comply with OSHA requirements.
